Golden Spike boasts the involvement of Newt Gingrich. You have been warned.

On an unrelated topic, what has happened to YouTube? Their loading times are slower than bearly after two Benadryl and a shot of NyQuil.

Digital analysis revealed potential for vast, rapidly moving dark pools … and frankly, something didn't smell right.

Was only SAC probed or both?

I predict a lengthy thread.

Saw an article last night about Charlie Crist "coming out of the closet" … "as a Democrat" was not the denouement I expected to that opener.

But anybody is better than cartoon super-villain Rick Scott.

Trump is a fame-whoring asshole. News at eleven.

The last thread Reno des me of this "gem" from my childhood.

b) HE said he'd fix things;

It's a waste of time to engage with you, and your obvious racial identity politics.

But what the hell. You don't think that 100% Republican obstructionism was to blame?

"I want to see him fail"

"Our number one priority (!) is to make Obama a one term president."

Icepick, I'm here because it's worth knowing what Bill sees. If you're on in order to call him out, that's your own affair.

Speaking again to the misdirection point - there is an endless ocean of shit out there called "the American media" which through malfeasance and incompetence keep the public misinformed/disinformed.

Bill's blog is a tiny island of clarity that isn't a big media venture, that has drawn an audience over years of reliable analysis.

And THIS blog is the focus of your rage?

Kindly overlook the poor grammar in my last post.

his point is that Bill supports Obama and Obama is to blame for all our current ills, including the ruin of his neighborhood -

Facepalm
The truly maddening thing is that guys like Icepick who don't understand the nature of their predicament continue to vote for Republican politicians who actively work to turn him into a serf.

Icepick I sympathize with your plight. But your misdirected anger is troubling.

Or, let me be clearer- making drinkable beer is harder than growing weed.

A small minority will grow their own. Everyone else will buy. And I have to believe Farmer's Markets are a good indication that people will pay well for good product.

Legalization and taxation is long overdue.

Republicans as usual, utterly full of shit.

HomeGnome, I'm seriously hoping Colbert runs for Senate in SC in 2014 against whomever Haley appoints. Sharp guy.

A Beautiful Mind … Gary Busey? Crickets

Ah, what do you know from funny.

several! and with a 20 year old holding your hand. LOL he's movie material!

I have already written a pitch treatment. The working title is "A Buseyful Mind".

Jan Brewer? She's just enjoying the cool salt air on her pleasure craft, The Black Barnacle.

Read up, yuan, you chucklehead.

Why do we never No one 17 and under admitteding learn? Or better yet, when will the belligerent assholes be for once overruled by the dirty hippies?

U.S.-Approved Weapons Transfer Ended Up With Libyan Jihadis - NY Times

I have seen less mortgages smoking cigarettes in the 7-11 parking lot and knocking over old people. That is not a stat, though, that is just an observation.

Don't you mean fewer?
Catler!

i have no problem at all removing the earnings cap. i do though see the transfer from young w/out any assets towards elderly with enough assets to make it through retirement as a regressive subsidy on inheritances. that has to end. but you know that, don't you?

So jack the inheritance tax. And parcel out some benefits for young people.

Means testing SS turns it into a welfare program and would be the death of it. Not to mention the bizarre behavioral effects it would have, yet another mess of fraud and gaming the system.

why not pay for the SS payroll tax extension by asset testing SS? that will be a very progressive way to stimulate the econ.

No it wouldn't. Instead it would end up screwing the middle class and driving a wedge among the populace on what is now a very popular program.

A progressive solution would be to remove the earnings cap on the tax.

But you know that, don't you.

Somebody has been thinking about my oft-posed question.

How Much Is the Fed Driving Home Prices? | The Big Picture

When rates someday increase, or QE ends, the brakes on home prices will be pumped furiously.

Blodget must have been lurking yesterday:

Companies Need To Share More Profits With Employees - Business Insider

bearly, that giant sucking sound Perot heard was just you and shill.

Did pavel disappear? Somebody must know.

Disappear? Or disappeared?

DRYFLY wins the thread.

Wealth/income inequality is the structural issue we need to focus on.

Bonus points for pummeling the hapless shrill incontinent incompetent shill.

Has it been definitively established that Dawg is shill?

I find it hard to believe. Such different writing.

I do suspect that multiple names on my ignore list have potentially been the same person changing skins. I've long had shill on ignore, but never RD.

He lives in Wisconsin. Janesville I believe.

That's the guy who ran through 26.2" in 2:55, right?

Evil

With the Bulldog state leading the way.

Is that where Jeff Gannon lives?

That shouldn't obscure the fact that Truman was a two-faced worm.

Good afternoon, good evening and good night.

"Pinch hit" in the sense that I'm at least tied with NARM as biggest proponent of rail/infrastructure spending in the commentariat.

Smile

Infrastructure bank FTW! (NaRm where are ya - I got a call a man about a rail venture!)

I'll pinch hit.

But I do see the infrastructure bank as a totally Rube Goldberg approach. Like Obamacare - single payer is a better system. Can't we stop settling for half-asses approaches based on ideological fixations?

Just have FedGov spend the No one 17 and under admitteding money.

But I'll suffer the infrastructure bank nonsense if necessary.

Duke Point , word is Fairway will reopen Feb/March.

mcconnell's response? -----> burst out laughing

Yeah. According to Mitch McConnell.

The GOP's empty bluster is hilarious. They were offered a sweet deal last year, that I was terrified they'd take.

Now they got nothin.

Got Popcorn?

Not really.

President Romney begs to differ.

But, how was her cleavage?

I've never understood the appeal she holds for many finance geeks (and I'm not saying you). She wasn't even hot back on '99.

I guess compared to Louis Rukeyser she's a knockout, and that's the standard.

But the experience was fun until you lost. So, there is non-economic gain.

Cheaper than Redbox.

Drachma Queen

Fewer marks and more Marx.

BTW, kcoop built a Calgon dispenser into the HCN spa. It's labeled "ignore". And it never runs out unless you log out!

Brownstone?! Why not a "townhouse"?

What am I, Rockefeller?

Well, this is the brownstone belt. And townhouse implies you've got the whole building. We rent a floor.

By the way, full on Latin America is the inevitable outcome of Republican tax policy. I'm continually amazed how many of my peers (here and in the real world) imagine that they would be padrones rather than peasants or at best pistoleros.

40% vote like they expected to win last nights Powerball.

Marks.

I thought you were out by Red Hook with the Dukester.

I can walk there (and often do in the warmer months). But I'm on the other side of the highway, and it's gotten outrageously expensive here. (We rent in a brownstone. Great landlords are hard to come by, but they exist.)

wow! that's huge. do you have a guesstimate on the reasons?

Best guess is that the huge rush after the last stall was too much, too fast.

The sticker prices on these places are shocking.

The closest one to my apt, which is still moving apace doesn't have a unit less than $1.2MM.

Bifurcation is alive and well in New York.

You're telling me! I live here. It's crazy how many rich people there are here.
